About

Grantown Primary enjoying a great day out on the slopes!

The BSSSA winter programme takes place annually in March, with over 150 primary children from across Badenoch & Strathspey learning a snowsport.  Nine local primary schools have the opportunity to take part in the Snow For All programme of skiing & snowboarding lessons for pupils over four weekly sessions on Cairngorm Mountain.

The programme is often the first step towards the children getting into a snowsport. The Association has close ties with snowsports clubs and initiatives in the area and actively encourages the children towards them as a pathway for continuing snowsports. .

The BSSSA is a registered charity whose aim is to promote snowsports for local school children. The volunteer committee is made up of a wide mix of people who appreciate the benefits of snowsports and who all bring different professional & personal skills to the table.

We welcome any ideas you may have to help the BSSSA achieve its goals and would like to invite interested parents, school staff and snowsports enthusiasts to join the committee. We meet around 8 times a year. Please contact us if you would like to join us, or join our Facebook page.
